Just your average week in London.

Yet another busy couple weeks of life in London. Since it's been quite the whirlwind, I will just name a few of the highlights of the past couple weeks.

We visited Stratford Upon Avon, which is where Shakespeare's and Anne Hathaway's homes are. Dreamy little cottages and beautiful gardens. My momma would've been all about this day.

We also toured Oxford University, getting the chance to see the college life in England. Such a beautiful campus and such a cool student life. And those British people, yeah. Love. We live in Provo because... yeah, gotta love P town.

We braved Harrod's Department Store. Spent just enough time to gaze at some fancy clothes, laugh at the overpriced milkshakes, and snap some pics by the Christmas decorations. Harrod's is definitely a sight to see. It's basically like a city within a store.

Plays this week? Obviously, cause we're those weirdo kids obsessed with seeing plays. We saw Top Hat, and LOVED it! It was full of fun music, dancing, and a cute story line. Some of these smaller plays are real gems. The humor is... different.. but makes for a good time.

We wandered Portobello street market. Super cool houses and the street was overflowing with antique treasures. Polaroid cameras, old jewelry, record players, fur coats, you name it and Portobello has it. We had fun getting some yummy cheap food and searching through vintage things. However, my iPhone was stolen this day so I wouldn't say it is my favorite place on earth. If I seem to be non-existent on email, texting, instagram, facebook, and all that jazz the past week.. that's why. Hopefully I will get my new phone within the next couple weeks (thanks momma!) but until then I'm gonna need to buy a watch and give Amanda a giant peanut butter kit kat in thanks for letting me use her iPod every day. And being my alarm clock. Seriously, it's crazy how much we depend on our phones.

We also took a stroll through Kensington Gardens. So pretty. The lake, the swans, the Peter Pan statue, the friendly squirrel, the brisk Fall weather, made this a lovely time.

THOR WORLD PREMIERE. probably one of the coolest things I've done in my life. After class on Monday, we headed over to Leicester Square to the world premiere of one of the coolest movies ever. (dad, you would've been alllll over this) Anyways, we made our way to the front of the smallish barricade, as close to the red carpet as we could get. Let me tell ya, going to a movie premiere in London is like the coolest experience ever. The paparazzi flashing, the fancy cars, the movie stars everywhere.. it's like you're in some sort of crazy dream. But yes, Natalie Portman is the epitome of classy. Tom Hiddleston is the nicest guy ever (which means his acting as Loki in the movie like a million times more impressive). And Chris Hemsworth is just as good looking as we imagined. And you best believe that we will camp out for the Hunger Games premiere, and get up there front and center. I'll be sure to post pics with J-Law and Liam. The red carpet is a snazzy place.

We also made ourselves the typical tourists and took the red phone booth pic in front of Big Ben. And watched the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Those black fuzzy hats sure are funny looking!

London is cool. Until next time..

another day, another adventure.

I love London. I know I've probably said that before, but really. London is the coolest. The city, the style, the accents, the food, the plays, the people, the shopping, the tube. Everything is just... cool.

To be honest, the past couple weeks have been a complete blur. A happy, fun, adventure-filled blur. I should have written down what we've done each day, but time is scarce and days are busy. Busyyyy. With school and homework and day trips and weekend trips and exploring the city, there's hardly any time left. But I have pictures to remember every fun moment and I will try to capture as much as I can in this blog post.

Our favorite thing in London is Camden Market. It's a massive lively, artsy street market with tons of cheap food and clothes and fun things. We hang out in the market, eat every yummy treat possible, enjoy the live music everywhere, and buy every cool thing we see. The Brazilian churros, chocolate fruit skewers, and Dutch pancakes are among our favorites.

Our other favorite thing in London is all the plays. We're that group obsessed with seeing every play that we can. Because let's be real, there's nothing better than a night on the town- grabbing some dinner and seeing a West End play. This week we saw Once, Macbeth, and Wicked. Once- cool British play. macbeth- we saw it at the Globe Theatre. Unbeatable. (a little chilly in the outdoor theatre at night, but so worth it). Wicked- need I say more? Uh.May.Zinggg.

This week we also saw some cool places, like Dover Castle, Hampton Court, and Kew Gardens. The White Cliffs at Dover were beautiful, and seeing the ocean always brings an "ahhhh" moment. Hampton Court and Kew Gardens were both beautiful. Hampton Court, was honestly a little strange. But... we did see like a super famous British music group there. Jedward. Apparently they were on the X Factor and are a super big deal here in Britain. We ran into them a bunch of times as we were chillin' at the castle. Pretty cool I guess, I mean, if you're into them. And Kew Gardens was rainy, but still beautiful. Our favorite area was the pumpkin patch. It made us long for some pumpkin bread and Thanksgiving dinner.

On Saturday, we spent the night on the town. Grabbed some Chinese food and headed to hang out at Big Ben and the London Eye. I even met up with one my friends from high school which was so random and lovely! I didn't even know she was here, until about an hour before she messaged me and we planned to meet at Big Ben! I've had pretty great luck here with running into people. Thanks Europe- you're neat.

London is the coolest. You know you live a pretty blessed life when your average day can consist of seeing a play in the city, grabbing some Shake Shack food, and hanging out by Big Ben. My friends are just the greatest and this entire group just rocks. Our apartment may be ghetto and we may be tired of school, but hey. We live in London. I got nothin' to complain about. Plus, homework can always be put on hold for a 30 second dance party. (HOLLA at ya apartment numba one).

(Also, my besties Mel and Manda make darling videos of all our adventures. If you ever wanna see them, go to their blog at www.doofandsmell.blogspot.com )

Till next time... Cheers.
